This 2-bedroom, 2 bathroom penthouse has an open plan kitchen, living and dining area with high ceilings throughout the entire unit. The kitchen is fully loaded with oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge with ice maker, custom wood Pigeon hole kitchen cabinetry and granite countertops. Both bedrooms are large enough for a king size bed and each have sliding doors leading to their own personal deck. The en-suite bathrooms are tiled with the rare Blue Macauba stone; an exotic Brazilian quartzite.
The penthouse has 4 decks: 2 Overlooking Great Bay Beach and 2 overlooking Philipsburg and surrounding hills. The decks are equipped with custom made Marine Grade Stainless steel railings with a Teak top. Do you enjoy the breeze? The Penthouse has so much breeze…9 doors which, when all open, feel like pure outdoor Caribbean living at its best. You can also cool down with the windows shut as the penthouse is equipped with air conditioners and Fanimation fans in every room. The unit also comes equipped with a washer and dryer.
Built in 2007, this building is here to stay! The penthouse is equipped with custom made Mirabeau sliding windows and doors, which are Hurricane resistant/CAT 5 with 26 anchors on each door and 1¾ inch thick wood. The thick, laminated glass makes the Penthouse totally prepared for a natural disaster. There is also a cofferdam built around OCEAN’S to ensure that the beach sand and ocean cannot dig underneath the building and cause her to sink. The insurance company has listed OCEAN’S as a 100-year building. The building itself consists of 9 units and has a swipe card access system and an elevator in the main lobby.
Living in Town on Great Bay Beach with private, gated parking… that on its own is unprecedented. Enjoy being able to walk to restaurants, stores, beach bars and of course right into the ocean. It is also a perfect location to view the beautiful carnival parade, which passes anually right in front of the building! Enjoy direct beach access either from the back or the front of the building with hosing off stations at each location.
All beaches are public on Sint Maarten. Ocean’s has the right to put out our beach chairs which is done by AJ who ensures that owners/visitors have free beach chair access. In exchange AJ rents out remaining available spots. Beach is kept clean and at sundown chairs/umbrella’s are put away.
There is a Home Owners Association in place. Annual meetings are held and the accounting is outsourced and Tax returns are filed as per the law of Sint Maarten. The HOA dues for the Penthouse are US$688/month .There is a maintenance team in place who has serviced Ocean’s since 2007.
